Recently, I saw a trend in my business that is changing how I market to my new and existing customer base.
When a customer is checking out and they join our loyalty club, we ask how they heard about us. Up until now, most customers would say Facebook or Google which was great because that was where I was spending all of our marketing dollars, awesome! However, recently, customers have been answering this question differently. Now, the #1 way people are hearing about us is through WOM (word of mouth) from a friend, loved one, or colleague. This was a HUGE turning point for me because the cheapest and most effective way to reach a group of people is through people. So how am I changing my marketing approach?
